The dust has now settled on Path's of Glory ' 14 and congrats to Andrew achieving overall winner.  Not a bad looking force either.  Who'd thought that a bunch of Italians in soft skinned vehicles could be so mischievous.  Well played sir.

We are now posting our tournament results with WWPD.  The WWPD folks have graciously filled the void now that RHQ Rankings is off the air.  Canadian rankings can be found here:  http://www.rankings.wwpd.net/region=5&game=3

 

We've now added another tournament to our yearly schedule.  Whirlwind will be an EW / 1550 point battle to the end.  Here are the details:

Club News and Upcoming Tournaments

Hey Guys,

The Paths of Glory Tournament is just around the corner and there are still a few spots remaining. Pass the word about and if you or someone you know wants to register, please drop me a line by e mail.  The Tournament Pack can be downloaded at:  https://sites.google.com/site/petminisoldiers/

I would appreciate if you could send me by e mail your army lists no later than 11 or 12 Apr so I can do some of the setup work prior to early morning on the 13th.  For those of you using Easy Army this should be no problem.  For those locals who don't use Easy Army I'll be in the shop this coming Sunday and Tuesday and will be setting up tables on the afternoon of the 12th.  For the out-of-towners, if you're not using Easy Army, I will accept your army list the morning of the 13th.

For those that are interested, there will be some side bar discussions on upcoming tournaments. We hope to decide on a Jun date for our EW tournament and I know the DDs have something on the go on the 3rd of May in Gatineau.

I'll need some help setting up tables so if any locals are available please let me know.  we''ll start work at 1300 hrs at the shop on the 12th.  This usually doesn't take anymore than an hour.
For those who don't know, Gary has had some good news in that his tenant will be moving out sometime in the next two to three months and the wargaming space will be expanding.  Brad is already devising plans to run a campaign.

Looking forward to seeing all of you at the tournament.  No doubt the DDs will be keen to get rid of that nasty old "booby trophy'.  Cheers

Battle Cry 2013 - Results

All,

 

For those of you that participated in the tournament on 17 Nov 13, your results have been submitted to Rankings RHQ and should (if everything goes correctly) be included in the next update.  I believe I have everyone's RHQ Ranking number except for two indviduals who don't appear to have accounts with RHQ

 

Thanks to all who participated.  Our next tournament will be Paths of Glory 2014, Mid War - 1500 pts on Sunday, 13 Apr 14 / 3 rounds of play.  Same format that we've established with the Petawawa Miniature Soldiers Gaming Group.  The web site will be updated soon with details.

Battle Cry 2013 - Update

This is just a reminder to everyone that the 3rd Annual FoW  - 1650 Point, Late War Tournament sponsored by the Petawawa Miniature Soldiers gaming group and Perkins Hobby House is scheduled for Sunday, 17 Nov.  Newcomers and beginners are welcome.  For those of you that have not been at one of our tournaments before, Perkins Hobby House offers a full range of FoW miniatures and other gaming options.

 

Timings:

 

Doors open at: 0800 hrs;

Registration commences no later than: 0900 hrs;

Tournament briefing by yours truly commences at: 0930 hrs;

First game to commence no later than: 1000 hrs;

Dress parade:  1200 hrs

Gaming and awards complete no later than: 1800 hrs

 

Registration cost:  $15 at the door (inflation @#%$#@&*^&%) includes lunch.  We can accommodate up to 24 players but numbers are adding up quickly.  For those who may not have yet registered please drop me a line via e mail.  For those that have registered but for some reason you may have to bow out, please let me know asap.

Battle Cry 2013 - Change to Army Points

As Tournament organizor I've made the executive decision to revamp the points for the Battle Cry (LW) Tournament on 17 Nov 13  to 1650 from what was previously announced.  This will align us with the Battlefront 2014 tournament season army point system announced by Battlefront last week.  Cheers.
