Early War (EW) Escalation Tournament - Results are in !!!

All,
The EW Escalation Tournament has officially ended.  All scores have now been sent to the Tournament Organizer  (TO), Dennis Campbell.  He is in the process of sorting through the results and will announce the findings as time passes....hopefully sooner than later.

For all those that participated, well done.  By all accounts we surpassed the DDs in participation and scores.  By my count we played 25 games in total.

  1. Dennis Campbell has now compiled the results of the tournament. For all the details go to our website and download the pdf. In general here is how the TO, Dennis, described things:

“Thanks to you guys up in Petawawa who kept the torch alive, because it died down here in Ottawa, because of prep for other things sadly…..MW and LW.

Bob McBride won overall with 41 points, Iain Clark came in 2nd with his Italians (who said they were terrible?!!) and third was Louis’ Australian infantry. Country wise, with the top two spots, the British Empire did the best with 84 points, and for some reason, Stukas seemed to be the single unit type that did the best (there was a wide spread of different tank types) as the MVP, so I will bring up a fully painted Stuka for Gary as he had his Stukas do well for him twice in the 6 games he played. Not bad for something that might not even show up.”

    1. Early War was fun, and I hope we still get the odd EW game in. The tanks certainly played differently. German tanks seem to face an uphill struggle.
